How It Works

1

Getting to know your child

While there is no one-size-fits-all autism evaluation, there are several techniques our psychologists use to become familiar with your child's behavior.

2

Accurate evaluations

Our trained psychologists complete evaluations to make an accurate diagnosis of your child's behavior to determine if autism is the cause.

3

Personalized care for your child

At Cross River Therapy we provide personalized ABA services that are research-based and proven to positively impact children with ASD.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is ABA therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis, is a behavioral therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. The goal is to increase positive and decrease negative behaviors in children on the autism spectrum.

Who will perform “ABA” with my child?

Registered Behavior Therapists (RBTs) implement one-on-one behavioral intervention programs that are designed and closely supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Your child will be engaged in a variety of activities that promote communication emotional awareness, personal care skills, and social interaction. With a tailored care plan, individualized focus, and a warm, competent therapist, your child is guaranteed to make great strides.

How much do ABA therapy services cost in Indiana?

On average, ABA therapy with a board-certified ABA therapist in the U.S. costs $120/hour. These figures make therapy a challenge for many families, as some might not be able to afford enough hours each week for an ABA therapist to build a rapport with their child, or to fully analyze their child’s behavior challenges.

However, don’t lose hope: There are many contributing factors that can influence the overall cost of ABA therapy, including:

  • How many hours are required every week (10-20 is usually more than enough)
  • The ABA therapist’s experience levels and desired rates
  • The severity of autism experienced by the child
  • Geographic location
  • The supply and demand of ABA specialists in your location
  • Where the ABA therapy will take place
  • Length of time (in months or years) spent with the ABA therapist

In summary, even the above prices show that the amount ABA therapy will cost is not nearly as much as it seems at first glance.

Multiplying the hours per month by $120 is unlikely to be accurate and your overall bill will be much smaller. With that said, parents that can’t afford a board-certified ABA therapist in Indiana can look for help from insurance providers.
