Proven support for autism

Frequently Asked Questions

Does early intervention help autism treatment via ABA therapy?

Yes, early intervention greatly enhances the effectiveness of ABA therapy for children with autism. The earlier a child begins therapy, the more opportunities there are for positive development in communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors. ABA helps build positive behaviors and reduce challenges at a stage when a child’s brain is most flexible and responsive to learning.

Are two year olds too young for ABA therapy?

No, two-year-olds are not too young for ABA therapy. In fact, ages 18 to 36 months are often considered the most beneficial time to start, as children are rapidly developing language, social interaction, and foundational life skills. ABA programs can be fully customized to a child’s developmental stage, using play-based and positive reinforcement techniques appropriate for young learners.

When is the earliest ABA therapy can be effective?

ABA therapy can be effective as early as 18 months old, depending on each child’s needs and readiness. Research consistently shows that children who begin ABA early make greater progress in communication, attention, and social behavior compared to those who start later. The key is consistency and active family involvement throughout the process.
